Woman's £4 window tip can cut energy bills and 'keep you cosy' this winter

A woman has shared a clever way to keep your house warm and reduce your energy bills.

She revealed the hack in a video on TikTok, explaining how she keeps cold draught out of her home with an inexpensive Amazon product. Posting under the name @the.cosyclub, with more than 10,000 followers, she wrote: "Stop draughts from ruining your winter! Energy prices are crazy, but we will keep you cosy."

She said: "So much heat escapes through draughts in the windows. Use window draughts blockers on the edges of your windows. They are cheap and easy to buy!"

The video, which has had 1.1 million views since posting, showed the woman sticking the draught blocker onto her windows. Placing the item on the window will prevent a draught from entering her home, which in turn will help retain heat, reports The Mirror.

The woman bought a draught blocker and fitted it on her windows (the.cosyclub/Tiktok)

Stopping the cold air from creeping in means you can take advantage of indoor heating without fear of wastage. The clip later panned over the woman's Amazon page search which showed different variations of the product which are available to buy. The item can be bought for as little as £3.92 on the online store.

A number of people praised the woman's tip, keen to give it a go. One commented: "I need this!", while another added: "Thanks for the tip!". A third wrote: "Good idea! Thanks."
