Woman dies after snorkelling incident on a charter boat at Tumby Bay

Police will prepare a report for the coroner after the woman was pulled unconscious from the water off Tumby Bay.

A 41-year-old woman has died after an incident while snorkelling near Tumby Bay on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula.

Police said she was found unresponsive in the water while participating on a snorkelling charter just before 11:00am.

She was pulled from the water but remained unconscious.

Paramedics met the vessel when it reached the Tumby Bay boat ramp about midday and the woman was rushed to Tumby Bay Hospital where she was unable to be revived.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and a report would be prepared for the coroner.
