Woman rushed to hospital after reports she fell from window of Scots high-rise flats

A 31-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital after reports that she fell from the window of a Scots high-rise flats

Emergency services raced to the scene following a concern for a person call at around 5.45am on Saturday, January 29.

Around eight police vehicles were seen at the location on Burnside Street, next to Ancrum Court in Lochee, Dundee.

Witnesses added that Police Scotland also attempted to cordon off part of the street despite the harsh winds at the time.

The woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital via ambulance. Her current condition remains unknown.

A number of local residents said that the she is believed to have fallen from a window several floors up.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 5.45am on Saturday, officers were called to concerns for a person on Burnside Street, Dundee.

“A 31-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital.

“Inquiries are ongoing.”
