Cops raced to a smash in the early hours of the morning in Glasgow.

The alarm was raised shortly after 12am on Saturday morning to a collision on the city's Possil Road.

It's understood the crash involved one vehicle.

A photo from the scene showed two ambulances and a police car at the crash this morning.

The driver of the car was not injured in the incident, police confirmed.

However, a woman who had been a passenger was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a precaution.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 00.19am on Saturday, 21 August, to a report of a one car crash on Possil Road, Glasgow.

"A woman, the passenger in the car, was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a precaution.

"The driver was not injured.”
