Woman rushed to hospital after Glasgow van crash sparks emergency response

A woman was rushed to hospital after a van and car crashed in Glasgow.

Emergency services raced to the scene in Tollcross of the two-vehicle crash at around 2.30pm yesterday.

Emergency crews shut off the road and took one casualty to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

The incident happened on Killin Street at the junction with Ardgay Street in the Tollcross area of Glasgow.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.30pm on Wednesday, 3 February, 2021, we received report of a two-vehicle crash, involving a car and a van, on Killin Street at the junction with Ardgay Street in Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and a woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a precaution.

"The road was re-opened at 4.15pm."
