Woman rushed to hospital after fire in Glasgow street as police launch probe

A woman is in hospital after a house fire in Glasgow sparking a major police probe.

Emergency services raced to Culross Street in the Shettleston area of the city at around 12.30pm on Sunday, after reports of a fire.

One woman was injured as a result of the blaze.

She was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The nature of the woman's injuries is unknown.

The cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed.

Police officers probing the blaze say enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesman told the Record: "Emergency services attended at Culross Street in Glasgow yesterday at 12.30pm after reports of a fire.

"A woman was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing."

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman told the Record: ""We were called to Culross Street in Glasgow on September 13 at 12.24pm to reports of a fire.

"Three appliances attended.

"We can confirm one known casualty as a result of the incident."
