Woman rushed to hospital after driving into a tree on Scots road

A woman was rushed to hospital after she drove into a tree on a road in Fife last night.

Emergency services raced to the scene after the accident happened on the A92 at Ladywell.

The crash happened when the driver came off the road at around 9.20pm on Friday night.

Ambulance crews attended and the casualty was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police say their enquiries into the incident are continuing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.20pm on Friday, 19 March, police were called to a report of a car having come off the A92 at Ladywell and struck a tree.

"Emergency services attended and the female driver was taken to hospital for treatment.

"Enquiries are continuing."
