Woman rushed to hospital after dog attack in Enfield

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was attacked by a dog at a block of flats in north London.

Police rushed to Eastfield Road following reports that a victim had been mauled by the animal just after 7.30am on Friday.

The victim was taken to hospital with arm injuries, while the dog was seized by officers.

Both the London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended the scene.

A spokesperson for the Enfield branch of the Metropolitan Police wrote on Twitter: “Police and LAS were called to Herm House, Enfield this morning. On arrival a female was found with serious injuries.

“After treatment by LAS and London’s Air Ambulance she has been conveyed to hospital in critical condition.

“The dog has been seized. Further enquiries will take place to establish the circumstances.”

Her condition has now been confirmed as non life-threatening.
