A woman was rushed to hospital this morning after being in a crash involving a lorry.
Emergency services rushed to the Erskine Bridge, southbound shortly after 11am this morning.
The female driver was involved in a crash with a lorry that caused the right-hand lane of the bridge - heading towards Erskine - to be closed for over an hour.
A source who was travelling on the bridge told Renfrewshire Live : “It looks like the lorry has tried to move in to the lane and failed to see the car.
“The car, which was a dark grey Mercedes, was being towed away in a recovery truck and had significant damage to the driver side, particularly the front door of the driver's side.
“There were at least three ambulances there and about three or four police cars.

“The right-hand lane of the bridge was closed and this caused huge tailbacks in to Clydebank.
“It must have been horrifying for the lady who was rushed to hospital.
“It looked a bad crash but it could have been a lot worse given it was a lorry that was involved.”
Police are still continuing their enquiries in to the collision.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Around 11.05 am on Tuesday, October, 26, emergency services were called to a two vehicle road crash - car and lorry - southbound on the A898, Erskine Bridge, Old Kilpatrick.
“One woman, the driver of the car, has been taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
“Road reopened at 12.30pm.
“Enquiries into the crash are continuing.”
