A woman is in hospital after being hit by a vehicle in the Gorbals.
Emergency crews raced to the scene on Ballater Street, near to its junction with Laurieston Road at around 5:15pm. She was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Video footage online shows a number of police cars parked along the taped-off road.
Police have shut off the street southbound and are still in attendance.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called to reports of a woman having been hit by a vehicle in Ballater Street at around 5;15pm. Ambulance were also on scene and the woman was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Her injuries are not known at this time."
Road users should avoid the area if possible.
