Woman rushed to hospital after being shot in street in Maida Hill

A woman has been rushed to hospital after being shot in the street in west London.

The victim, aged in her 30s, was shot shortly before midnight on Friday in Maida Hill.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital. Police said no one has been arrested.

Pictures from the scene show a blood stained crime scene outside a shuttered shop in Harrow Road, near the junction with Ashmore Road.

Westminster police posted on Twitter: "A woman aged in her 30s was shot at around 11.50pm in Harrow Rd near junction with Ashmore Rd.

"She was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

"We await an update on her condition. A crime scene is in place. No arrest."
