Woman rushed to hospital after being hit by lorry on Tranent High Street

A woman has been rushed to hospital after she was hit by a lorry on Tranent High Street in East Lothian.

The accident took place shortly after 3pm on Thursday, with the road closed off afterwards.

Emergency service vehicles were at the scene and the woman was treated by paramedics. Her condition is not yet known.

There is heavy traffic on the A199 following the incident, which took place between Church Street and Ormiston Road.
