Woman rushed to hospital after being struck by bus in Perth

A woman has been taken to hospital after being struck by a bus in Perth.

The collision, involving a Stagecoach vehicle, happened in West Mains Avenue at around 10am on Monday.

The injured pedestrian has been taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers attended at West Mains Avenue in Perth after a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian which happened around 10am on Monday, 18 October 2021.

“She has been taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing."

A spokesperson for Stagecoach East Scotland said: "We can confirm there was an incident this morning involving one of our vehicles in Perth.

“Emergency services attended the scene to attend to a pedestrian who sustained some injuries. Safety is our first priority, and our first thoughts are with the person who has been injured. We are doing all we can to assist the police in their investigation as well as carrying out our own internal investigation."
