Woman rushed to hospital after alleged 'rape' in west London

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was raped in West London this morning.

Emergency services were called to Shepherd’s Bush Green, near the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, at around 10.50am on Thursday (August 1) following reports of a serious sexual assault.

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene where they found the woman and took her to A&E for treatment. Her condition has not yet been confirmed.

Footage from the scene shows a police cordon in place, with officers standing guard outside the venue.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.48am today (August 1) to reports of an assault on Shepherd’s Bush Green, Shepherd's Bush. We sent an ambulance crew to the scene and treated a woman before taking her to a local hospital.”

The Metropolitan Police has not yet issued a statement on the incident.
