If there's one thing that is absolutely essential for your holiday, it is a passport.
So, when Joanne Shields lost her passport in Glasgow city centre on the day she was set to fly to Croatia from Edinburgh Airport things weren't looking good.
In a bid to help the 37-year-old out, the good folk over at Glasgow Live launched an appeal to reunite Joanne with her missing passport - but time was running out.
Desperate Joanne had lost her passport in Glasgow sometime before midday and was due to fly from Edinburgh Airport at 3pm - even she admitted it that finding it was a "long shot".
But miraculously police who had spotted the appeal found the passport on the street and delivered it straight to her home in the Rutherglen area.
Going above and beyond, the kind-hearted officers then raced Joanne to Edinburgh with a police escort so that she could catch her flight.
Speaking to Glasgow Live , Joanne said: "I am one lucky girl.
"The police found my passport because of Glasgow Live's post and they came to my house with it before giving me an escort to the airport.
"I can't thank them enough, also huge thanks to all you amazing folk for sharing my post and sending me positive vibes.
"I am definitely going to Croatia now."
