Woman riding electric scooter trapped under car after Kensington crash

A woman on an electric scooter was left trapped under a car after a crash in Kensington.

Emergency services were called to Sheil Road, around around 7.45pm, on Wednesday evening after reports of the smash.

The women, who is believed to have been a delivery rider, was injured in the crash that closed the road for several hours.

Police put a large cordon in place at the scene as paramedics and fire crews raced to free her and get her to hospital.

She was rushed for treatment and is reportedly to have suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

In pictures taken at the scene, officers could be seen inspecting an electric Voi scooter with an Uber Eats bag next to it.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed some of the details to the ECHO but said that no further updates were avilable.
