Woman rescued from roof in Bristol city centre

Fire crews were called out to rescue a woman from a roof in Bristol city centre.

Temple station sent two appliances to rescue the woman from a property in Baldwin Street after receiving a request from the police at 8pm on July 6.

After the use of an aerial platform, the woman was on the ground by 11.59pm, according to a spokesperson from Avon Fire and Rescue Service.

Two ambulances were also in attendance - along with a hazardous area response team and a rapid response vehicle - and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has been contacted for comment.

Bristol Live was sent pictures of the incident by an eyewitness who wished to remain anonymous.
