A woman was rescued from Daisy Nook after suffering an injury to her ankle whilst on a dog walk. Eleven members of the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were called by the North West Ambulance Service to assist with the difficult extraction on Friday (October 28).
The woman received medical treatment by paramedics before she was placed onto a stretcher for carrying back to the ambulance.

The Oldham Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT) were involved for around one hour and 45 minutes.
OMRT leader, Rob Tortoishell said: “Huge thanks to the passers-by who looked after the lady and helped guide all the services to the scene. We wish the casualty all the best for a speedy recovery.”
