Woman remains in serious condition one week after horror Dublin crash involving Derek 'Del Boy' Hutch

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a female pedestrian was struck by a motorcyclist on Friday, May 27.

The road traffic collision occurred on Amiens Street, Dublin, at around 1.20pm.

The pedestrian (60s) was taken to The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, where her condition is currently described as serious.

The male motorcyclist (30s) was also taken to The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Convicted criminal Derek ‘Del Boy' Hutch, nephew of Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch, is believed to have been driving the motorbike when it collided with the Ukrainian pedestrian.

It is understood that ‘Del Boy’, who was released from prison last year, was left with minor injuries in the incident after he fell off the bike, which then collided with an An Post van in the middle of the busy road.

A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí in Store Street are appealing for any witnesses who were in the North Strand/Amien Street areas between 1pm and 2:00pm who may have footage (including Dash Cam) to make it available to them. They are particularly keen for anyone who may have witnessed a motorbike in the area at this time to contact them.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Store Street Garda Station on 01 666 8000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
