Woman relentlessly bullied for her nose birthmark hits back at haters

A woman who has a birthmark on her nose has hit back at haters who make fun of her.

Raven, a 22-year-old from New York, has a birthmark on the tip of her nose that she says people on the internet often mock her for.

As a child, she was offered surgery to remove the birthmark, but instead of undergoing the procedure, Raven has chosen to love and embrace her birthmark, believing it makes her "unique."

Raven uploaded a video showing off the birthmark on her TikTok @babyravey, with the caption: "Be you, do you, there is so much more to people than what meets the eye."

In the clip, she addressed hate from trolls, writing: "When someone makes fun of my birthmark on the internet but I f**cking love it and embrace being unique every day of my existence."

Since being posted, the video has racked up almost one million views, 60,000 likes and hundreds of comments from people who said how cool they think the birthmark is.

One person said: "I was teased relentlessly for mine as a child, I'd laugh in anyone's face if they tried making fun of me for it now. It's YOU. Beauty transcends."

Another wrote: "Honestly, that's pretty cool."

A third commented: "This is so cute, you look like a teddy bear."

Someone else put: "Growing up I thought I was the only one in the world with one, made me feel so insecure. Got it removed. I wish I had your confidence as a kid."

One TikTok user commented on Raven’s video suggesting that she would "remove it in a heartbeat" if she could, to which Raven replied, saying: "I have had bodily autonomy as long as I can remember and my parents/doctor always gave me the option but I just love myself instead.

"Options when I was young were limited and would have resulted in scarring or just a lighter birthmark. I’m good on that."
