Woman rages as neighbour sets off random firework every evening - sometimes at 3am

Fireworks, you either love them or hate them. But even the most passionate firework fan would likely have a problem if their neighbour started setting them off daily.

Unfortunately, one woman has been left with this very same dilemma as her neighbour likes regular sparkling displays. It appears the resident has little concern for people and animals living nearby, as they've taken to setting them off nighty - something which is illegal in most countries.

Despite knowing what a nuisance they must be, the pyrotechnic fan releases them at all hours. While the noisy resident sticks to one per day, locals can expect to hear it anywhere between 9pm and 3am, as one fed-up neighbour explained in a post to Reddit.

"Every night for the past week one of my neighbors [sic] has shot off one firework between 9:00 pm and 3:00 am. There is no rhyme or reason to the timing. These are not small fireworks, rather wake you from the dead of sleep fireworks thinking that a bomb just went off," she wrote.

As such, she was keen for advice on how to deal with her 'neighbour from hell.'

"What would you do to find who is shooting them off because obviously I can't call the police for one firework a night during a 6 hour period," she wondered. Unfortunately, commenters were unable to offer her a wealth of answers, though someone suggested reporting her neighbour is her best bet.

"Call the non emergency line report it and try your best to tell the area it happened. If they get a log they will then sit and set up shop in the neighborhood [sic]," the commenter advised.

Legally, you are allowed to sets off fireworks in your back garden, provided you follow the relevant rules.

On most nights of the year, no fireworks should be released between 11pm and 7am. Exceptions include New Year's Eve, Diwali, Chinese New Year, and Bonfire Night, when there's a later cut-off.
