Woman punched in the face in Asda - CCTV images released

Police have released CCTV images after a woman was punched in the face at Patchway's Asda.

Officers want to speak to the pictured woman in connection with the attack, which happened at 2pm on Wednesday, December 23.

Officers confirmed the victim was treated for 'substantial bruising to her eye' in Southmead Hospital following the assault.

The alleged offender is described as a white woman, 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build with black wavy hair in a ponytail.

She wore a dark puffer jacket over a black Adidas zip up jumper with three stripes on the sleeve, blue jeans and black trainers. She also carried a pink rucksack.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesperson said: "We’re appealing for the public’s help to identify a woman in two CCTV images we’re releasing.

"We’d like to speak to the woman in connection with an ABH at Asda in Patchway, near Cribbs Causeway. A woman punched another woman in the face.

"If you recognise the woman in the CCTV images please call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5220287009."
