Woman punched in the face by teen riding bike near Scots nature trail

A lone woman was punched in the face by a teenager riding a bike near a nature trail in Angus.

The woman was walking on the pathway between Cookston Crescent and Mountskip Road, Brechin when the attack occurred between 2.15pm and 2.30pm yesterday.

She was left with facial injuries after the assault.

Police are hunting the two boys who are described as around 15-years-old.

The youths were riding bikes and approached her before one punched her in the face.

They then cycled off towards a nature trail.

The attacker is described as wearing dark clothing, with possibly a dark blue jacket.

Police are calling for anyone with information to get in contact by calling 101.
