Two men with Liverpudlian accents attacked a woman and attempted to steal her dog.
Staffordshire Police are investigating the attack which left the 53-year-old woman with two black eyes and bruising to her arms, chest and hip.
She was walking along the River Churnet in Oakamoor with her German Shepherd when she was approached by two men who initially spoke to her, according to Stoke Live.

The incident took place on Saturday, June 5 at around 4:30pm with officers checking CCTV in the area in an effort to track the men down.
The dog walker told the force that the men, who appeared to be in their twenties, spoke to her before trying to steal the dog.
They both spoke with Liverpudlian accents and failed in their bid to take her German Shepherd.
A spokeswoman, who says the force were called out to Oakamoor on Saturday evening, said: "They punched her in the face before departing. The dog, a German Shepherd, was not taken.
"The victim sustained bruises to her face, two black eyes and bruising to her arms, chest and hip.
"Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage of the area at the time and are urging any witnesses to come forward."
