Jan. 19--A San Bernardino woman denied Tuesday that she stabbed her boyfriend to death after an argument and then confessed to the slaying on Facebook.
Nakasia James, 18, pleaded not guilty in San Bernardino County Superior Court to a single count of murder in connection with the Jan. 11 death of Dorian Powell, 21. James' bail was been set at $1 million.
Authorities say that after killing her boyfriend in a heated argument, James logged on to Facebook and told her friends of the incident.
The posting, as published by KTLA-TV, read: "I gt the knife and stabbed him ddnt I would hurt him BT I did he died and I'm on the run..." she reportedly wrote. "Btsorryy lord hopefully u forgive me! And sorry Dorian Powell rip."
The post has since been deleted.
San Bernardino police were alerted to the incident by a 2:30 a.m. 911 call. By the time officers arrived at the scene, a residence in the 2000 block of North Central Avenue, James was gone, according to authorities.
Police later announced that they were looking for James in connection with Powell's death and described the incident as a domestic disturbance. She was arrested Sunday in Hemet.
