An Argenton woman who threatened to "walk up to a random and slit their throat" will remain behind bars until the new year.

Rachel Scoble, 26, known as Rachel Scobez, pleaded guilty in the Newcastle Local Court on Tuesday to using a carriage service to menace, harass and offend and to stalking or intimidating with the intention to cause fear of physical harm.

Officers from the Sydney City Police Area Command were contacted by a Channel 10 producer on Sunday after the media organisation received threatening messages via its facebook page.

Among other things Scoble demanded that Channel 10 delete a video of a news item about Tuki Lawrence, who is the subject of Supreme Court application for continuing detention under the Terrorism (high risk offenders) Act 2017.

"You have hit a wrong nerve with me. I got the stuff to make a bomb and I will," Scoble said in the direct message.

"Take that shit off Facebook or I will walk up to a random and slit their throat and rub bacon in their face while they are slowly dying.

"Tuki Lawrence is my youngest brother. F..k I would love to throw a bomb in any police station.

"Have some f...ing respect..."

IN THE NEWS:

The video was removed as a result of the threat.

Police facts tendered to the court said Scoble had an extensive record for violence and mental health conditions.

Plain clothes police arrested Scoble as she was walking down the driveway of a unit block in Church Street, Mayfield on Monday morning.

Asked if she knew why she was being arrested Scoble replied: "Yeah, cause I sent messages to Channel 10. I was provoked; they shouldn't have put that video up."

Investigators seized Scoble's mobile phone, which will undergo forensic examination.

She was deemed an unacceptable risk of committing a serious offence and endangering the community she was refused bail to remain in custody.

She will be sentenced on January 28.
