Woman plays epic prank on sister after finding her Christmas present in charity shop

Sometimes, what you get for Christmas just isn't what you wanted, but you'll likely act excited and happy on the big day regardless to avoid hurting anyone's feelings. You may, however, decide to save some space in your home and donate the unwanted item to charity - assuming that nobody will ever find out about it.

One re-gifter didn't get so lucky, however, as their mum and sister stumbled across a surprise while on a day out. Ellie Clarkson and her mum went charity shop shopping four days after Christmas, and they were both astounded to see a gift which had been given to Ellie's sister by her mum on December 25. To seek revenge for the cheeky move, the pair decided to pull a hilarious prank on Ellie's sister, and she posted it to her TikTok - @ellieclarkson3.

The pair recognised the handbag... (@ellieclarkson3/TikTok)
...and even joked they were going to buy it back! (@ellieclarkson3/TikTok)

In the hilarious video, Ellie showed the red handbag her mum had bought for her sister for Christmas - they spied it in their local Sue Ryder store.

Over a picture of the handbag, Ellie wrote: "Hang on, isn't that the bag my mum bought my sister for Christmas 4 days ago?"

Then, the prank unfolded as they took pictures of the accessory and decided to get them printed, with Ellie explaining: "So we decided to send her some photos of what she was missing. With a little note."

Ellie can then be seen writing: "Why don't you want me?"

The cheeky duo then sealed the pictures and the note in an envelope, posting it through her front door for her to discover whilst Ellie wore a balaclava so she could remain anonymous.

She can then be seen running back to the car to join her mum, the getaway driver.

The video then skips to a picture of her mum holding the handbag, and it reads: "Stay tuned for part 2 where the cursed bag turns up on her doorstep." The second part has not yet been posted, despite eager followers waiting for an update.

In the comments, people found the video hilarious but also felt sorry for the mum as they said they'd feel 'hurt' if someone did that to them.

One wrote: "Can you imagine if she still has the bag and now she has two?", followed by a series of crying with laughter faces.

Some others suggested how to take the prank further, commenting: "I would have bought the bag and left it somewhere in her house without telling her, she would think it is cursed!"

"Give it her next Christmas", another TikToker joked.

"I’m invested, I need part 2!!!!!!", someone demanded, while someone else said: "Part two now!"
