Completing a DIY project often comes with a sense of pride in your own work, and thanks to social media, you can now share your creations with the world to let other people see what you've accomplished.
But one woman on TikTok isn't quite getting the response she expected when she uploaded a video of her freshly painted bright pink sofa - as people are caught up on what appears to be a "missing part" of the furniture.
The DIY-savvy woman, who is from the US, initially posted a video of herself during the process when she revealed she was using paint to transform the colour of her sofa.
She then shared a second clip to show off the finished result - which is when people noticed she only had "one piece" of her sofa rather than the whole thing.

Explaining her sofa-painting journey, she said in the video: "The couch is done! This is what it looked like before. It was super soft, I got it for $80 (£60) on Facebook Market, and it was great.
"But I wanted colour. I'm feeling young, I'm feeling feminine, I'm feeling vibrant.
"I already know some of you hooligans are going to say you liked it better before and that I ruined it, but guess what? I don't care."

The woman, who posts on TikTok under the username @stringcheese221, then revealed that her DIY paint job hadn't given her perfect results, as her sofa had cracked in a few places where she had been too heavy with paint application.
And while the woman expected opinions to be split on her sofa's new look, most commenters were completely distracted by the strange look of the furniture - as it was missing one arm and looked like half of a larger sofa.
One person said: "It looks like you're missing the other half of it."
While another added: "The paint looks good, but $80 for one piece of a couch? Girl, you got ripped off."
"That's definitely only part of a couch", a third stated.
But the woman has since confirmed that she did, in fact, only buy half a sofa - because she didn't want anything bigger.
She replied to one comment: "Yes, I wanted something smaller so I got one part."
