Woman names baby after Pink when she gave birth at singer's concert

A woman named her baby after Pink when she gave birth at one of the singer's concerts.

Dolly Pink made an unexpected appearance as the pop siren performed Get The Party Started - the opening number to her show - at Anfield in Liverpool.

It was quite a surprise to mum Denise and the crowd around her.

Denise initially wanted to name the little one Dolly Louise, but thought it was only right to make a slight change to remember her birth.

Denise Jones, 32, from Huyton, gave birth to baby girl Dolly Pink during the first song at the Pink concert at Anfield (Liverpool Echo)

Since then the performer, who recently dazzled thousands of fans in Cardiff on the Welsh leg of her tour, took to social media to share the news.

Posting a screenshot of the Liverpool Echo news article to her Instagram, Pink wrote: "Dolly Pink wanted to get the party started."

Denise was 36 weeks and five days pregnant when the baby, who weighed The 6lb 4.5oz, arrived during Tuesday's show.

The 32-year-old was quickly taken away as the show opened and the baby was born just four minutes after Pink took to the stage.

Speaking from hospital, Denise joked: "I'm still massively in shock, just a bit gutted I missed the concert.

"But I couldn't be any happier right now."
