Woman nails impression of British people when the sun comes out

After all the storms and heavy rain earlier in the year, summer is finally just around the corner. It's set to be a scorcher too, by all accounts, with weather experts at the Met Office predicting 2022 to be among the hottest years on record.

The sun coming out - and staying out - doesn't happen too often in the UK, so it's not at all surprising that the mere sight of it can get us a little overexcited. Or in some cases, make us descend into utter delirium.

One TikTok user has gone viral by perfectly capturing how British people react when the temperature dares to go above 16°C. Keep up to date with the latest viral clips from across TikTok by clicking here.

In the clip, which has now gone viral having been viewed more than 3.7 million times, TikToker and 'comedy mum' Sarah Mann shows the pure chaos of making the most of the sun in the UK. Lip-syncing another popular audio on the platform, her hilarious facial expressions have left other users in stitches.

You can watch the video in full below. It starts with Sarah alerting everyone to the fact that the sun really is shining and running in and out of the house in a panic making sure that everyone is fully stocked up to make the most of it.

"It's sunny, it's sun," she shouts as she runs through the house. F***ing hell it's here. Panic stations people, quick before it f***ing goes.

"Someone get a disposable barbecue," she adds, before finding someone to help get the drinks in. "You!! Tesco now and buy every b*****d Kopparberg you can find! PIMMS, we need PIMMS."

In the rush to get everything together - including flip-flops, a paddling pool and a "big f*****g hose", the hurried requests soon turn into threats. "Out!" she barks. "Out of the house now, out, out!

"I don't want to see one t-shirt on all day. If you're not pink by the end of the day, I don't want to know you. And if you're not p****d in the next ten minutes, find a new friend - I've had enough." With sunglasses on and sun cream applied, Sarah adds: "We've hit 18 degrees, do you not understand? We are in the middle of a heatwave."

Viewers on TikTok were left in stitches by the video, which has also received more than 370,000 likes. The vast majority of people said the impression was spot-on, with some adding that the relatable antics were only things that people in the UK would understand.

"Oh jeez this made me laugh so much," said one. "Every bit of that is true!" Another added: "It's so true, in Britain we don't plan barbecues. They are spontaneous!" while another wrote: "Us Brits need to make the most of every ray!"

One user said: "We're even faster up in Scotland, while another wrote: "People in warm countries will be watching this thinking you're exaggerating, not knowing that’s it’s completely accurate." Another person added: "Never seen a more accurate description of British summer."

However, while thousands commented on the video saying they found the video hilarious, others were busy suggesting the things that Sarah had missed. "You forgot the rain at the end lmao," said one, while another added: "Can't forget the 'it's a good day for washing'".

"Every mother in the UK is currently on their pilgrimage to Tesco to get PICKY BITS," said a third. One user replied: "Definitely the picky bits!" with another adding: "It's too hot to cook, we'll have picky bits lol".
