Woman murdered

Unknown people ran away with valuables after murdering a woman at Cholangala village in Channarayapatna taluk on Saturday night. Sharadamma, 53, was found dead when her family members returned home.

Sharadamma’s son Ravi Kumar, in his complaint to the police, said that he had been to a hospital at Udayapura along with his wife and father Balaram as he had health issues on that day. When they returned home, they found Sharadamma murdered and valuables including ₹78.600 in cash, ear rings, mangalasutra and a few other gold jewellery missing.

Channarayapatna Rural Police registered a case on Sunday. Additional SP B.N.Nandini, DySP G.V. Udayabhaskhar and others visited the spot.
