Woman moves into house where someone died and is disturbed by what's under the carpet

When moving into a new property, you might find that the previous tenants have left one or two random items behind.

These are normally things like unwanted furniture or a few odd socks, but occasionally homeowners stumble across some truly bizarre sights.

We've previously heard how one woman made a rather grim and unexpected find in her kitchen - a jar containing an aortic valve in formaldehyde.

And now another woman has shared her strange find and it's probably not one for the faint-hearted.

A TikTok user from the US named @dontbeanashhole has gone viral after sharing a look at what she discovered while renovating her new home.

In a video posted to the social media platform, she explained how when she moved into her house, she found out that a previous tenant had died there.

She claims this hadn't bothered her at all - until she started ripping up the carpets to decorate.

"I wasn't bothered knowing someone died in my new house, but imagine my surprise when I ripped up the floor and found this," she says.

The camera then shows the hard floor under the carpets, where the outline of a body has been drawn.

Alongside the drawing, a date has been written on the floor as well as a case number.

The floor all around the black outline appears to be a different, darker colour - which the TikToker thinks is a bloodstain.

"This is actually a little creepy," she admits.

Her video has since gone viral, being watched more than three million times and garnering over 487,000 likes.

Many people took the time to comment and share their thoughts.

One person replied: "Oh man that's crazy."

Another said: "This might be the one case that will be ok with you keeping carpet instead of refinishing the hardwood."

A third wrote: "Girl you brave af, I strive to be you."

Someone else added: "Yeah... that's a body stain."
