A woman is in mourning after her dolphin husband died and says she will never remarry - describing herself as a 'one dolphin woman'.
Many of us struggle in relationships, but with Sharon Tendler she knew it was love at first sight when she met her partner, named Cindy.
As reported in the Daily Star, Sharon says it was clear right away that she felt an instant bond with Cindy, despite the fact he was a 39-year-old common dolphin.
The pair were wed in a lavish ceremony, with millionaire Sharon dazzling in a white dress with pink flowers in her hair, but it all came to a sudden and dramatic end as Cindy the dolphin sadly died within months.
Sharon, aged 26 at the time, and Cindy dated for a while - with the clothes importer and band manager making countless expensive trips visiting Israel to see her alpha male heartthrob.
Eventually, they wed at Dolphin Reef in the Israeli port of Eilat, Tendler, 15 years later, and the union was sealed with a chaste kiss as Sharon whispered "I love you" and Cindy presumably clicked in agreement.
Speaking after the wedding, Sharon told local reporters: "It's not a perverted thing. I do love this dolphin. He's the love of my life.
"It's not a bad thing. It’s just something that we did because I love him, but not in the way that you love a man. It's just a pure love that I have for this animal."
On hearing the news of her 'husband's' death, Sharon ruled out finding another lover, telling the Star: "I am a one dolphin woman."
Meanwhile, a woman in Devon married her own duvet claiming it was the 'most intimate and reliable relationship' she's ever had.
Pascale Sellick, 49, organised a ceremony with the help of a wedding planner to celebrate her love for the bedding.
The artist, who describes herself as a "rude, crude, spectacular exhibitionist", issued an open invitation to anyone wishing to celebrate with her.
