Woman mortified by fake tan disaster before big night out - scrubbing it doesn't help

If you're a fake-tan lover then you'll know it can be difficult to get it right before a night out and when it goes wrong, it can go really, really wrong, as one young woman found out before a big night out - and she was less than impressed with the way her efforts went.

Ashley LaMarca was left horrified at her fake tan job after she lifted her arms and was greeted with unusual white patches under her 'pits, and she posted the video on TikTok on her @ashleylamarca account. She captioned the video: "Like what do I do in this situation?" and at the start of the video she explained she fake tanned because she's pale.

She said: "My hands are orange, look at the difference", before she lifted her hands to her face - and the difference was stark.

But it got worse - Ashley then proceeded to lift her arms and show the camera her 'really bad' tan job and questioned how it had even happened.

She then joked that she couldn't lift her armpits, and then proceeded to try and scrub it off, as one of her friends suggested putting 'deodorant on it'.

Ashley replied: "My deodorant is clear."

The video then cuts to her still scrubbing at her armpits looking sad as she accepts it probably won't come off before her night out.

Her friend then tries to reassure her saying you won't be able to tell, but Ashley pointed out that if she puts her bag on her shoulder it will become obvious that she's had a fake tan fail.

The comments were flooded by women who had been through similar things and their advice.

One wrote: "Apply foundation or bronze it girl."

Another suggested: "I’m telling you. Run over it with micellar water on the rough areas it pulls it off, let it dry, fresh layer. Boom!"

"I had this happen to me and moisturiser over it worked!", someone wrote.

A TikToker said she thought she knew why it'd happened, commenting: "You must’ve sweated while it was setting or have dry skin. I’d just put some bronzer and then setting powder so the bronzer doesn’t smudge."
