Woman missing from West Side home back with family

UPDATE -- A woman who went missing from her West Side home Friday has been found and safely reunited with family, police said. The woman was found and taken to Norwegian American Hospital, where she was identified. She had no visible injuries, police said, but she was taken to the hospital as a precaution. She then returned to family. No other details were available.

Police are asking for help in finding a 55-year-old missing woman who has Down syndrome.

Lillian Brown has been missing since Friday evening from her home in the 3200 block of West Harrison Street in the Homan Square neighborhood on the West Side, according to an alert from the Chicago Police Department.

Brown was last seen at 6 p.m. Friday. She may not be able to find her way home, but she should know her home address, according to the alert.

Brown is 4-foot-10 and weighs about 155 pounds. She is black and has brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion, according to the alert.

Brown was last seen wearing a turquoise hat, a turquoise T-shirt, black pants and black gym shoes with pink trim, the alert said.

Anyone with information of Brown's whereabouts is asked to call the Area North Special Victims Unit at 312-744-8200.
