Woman met man in bar - and what he did the next day was astonishing

It's a pretty standard situation on any night out.

One minute you're at a bar with your mates, the next you catch someone's eye and they offer to buy you a drink.

Singles may take up the offer and then have a chat - you may even exchange numbers to see where it leads.

At least, that's what could happen.

For this lady - it was very different .

After handing her number to a man she met at a bar, a woman was left feeling pretty tamping.

He sent her a pretty rude message the next day.

Over the weekend, 20-year-old student paramedic Chlo Matthews let a guy buy her a drink on a night out in Hull.

They chatted, she have him her number... but it didn't go that smoothly afterwards.

Instead of telling her how nice it was to chat, or ask if she fancied meeting up again, the man, known only as Danny, decided to send her a bill for the booze he'd bought her.

Why? Because she didn't go home with him.

Then she posted a screenshot of the convo on Twitter for the entire world to see.

He starts off by asking who she is and after she jogs his memory of the previous night, he said: "Nice one, could you transfer me for those drinks I bought you last nite, since we didn't go home togeva (sic) wasn't really worth my time was it lol."

Following the messages, Chlo said she's now "officially retiring from nights out" because of it.

The tweet has since gone viral - over 60,000 people have liked it and around 8,900 have retweeted it.

As you'd expect, the comments have also been flooding in.

One person replied: "This is a joke surely? Is this what society has come to?"

Another wrote: "His mum must be so proud."
