Woman meets lonely toilet attendant on drunken night and now they're best friends

A woman who says she was "mad with it" drunk on a night out struck up a friendship with a toilet attendant and now the pair are best friends.

Caitlin Harvey says when she spotted the woman she refers to online as Big S, they quickly got chatting.

Big S explained she had recently moved to Glasgow and was lonely as she was finding it hard to make friends in the Scottish city.

The pair went from chatting in a nightclub toilet to going out for walks, and now a year on from their first meeting, Big S has introduced her to her baby son, who Caitlin refers to as Baby S.

Caitlin posted about the duo's unusual meeting and how they are now firm friends in a Twitter post on Thursday.

The post, which has seen been liked more than 63,000 times read: "A year ago I was mwi [made with it] on a night out n got chattin to the toilet attendant who told me she had recently moved here from Nigeria and she had no friends.

"Since then we’ve went on walks together and I took her for her 1st mac n cheese. I call her Big S and yesterday I met Baby S (sic).

Caitlin has been praised for her big heart, with one person dubbing her an "angel" for her sweet actions.

Other people have thanked Caitlin for sharing her heartwarming story, while another said: "It's crazy how some people are meant to be in each others lives and amazing how we meet them."
