A woman has shared a helpful TikTok detailing how you can make a loaf of bread in the air fryer using just one ingredient costing £1.30.
Thanks to the ongoing cost of living crisis, many people are turning to air fryers for cooking as an alternative to the oven. There are plenty of things that you can make in them, ranging from frozen goods to baked potatoes and even boiled eggs.
Making your own recipes from scratch is also a great way to combat rising food prices as it's often cheaper than buying things pre-made. Now, one woman has revealed that you can also use the air fryer to make a loaf of bread - something that many people were unaware of.
The Mirror reports that the video was shared by @airfryergirluk, who often creates helpful and interesting clips showing all the weird and wonderful things that you can make with the kitchen gadget.
Her recent video about the bread hack has racked up over 23,000 views thanks to its simplicity and affordability, and many said they were eager to try it themselves.
She captioned the video: "Air fryer bread, hell yeah", followed by a hands-in-the-air emoji, and demonstrated exactly how to do it.
In the clip, she explained that all she used was a Marks & Spencer seeded bread mix, which cost £1.30. She poured it into a bowl, added water, and then mixed it all together.
She then kneaded the dough on a flat surface into a ball, and left it to prove.
Some oil was then put into the air fryer drawer, and the bread was placed inside it. When the homemade bread was taken out, it looked just like the kind of thing you'd find in the bakery section at a supermarket - steam could be seen coming off it as it was that fresh.
She then placed some butter on top of the bread, allowing it to soak in, then drizzled honey over the top.
People were astounded at how affordable it was to make your own bread in the air fryer, and how successful the results were.
"That looks goooood", one praised.
Another wrote: "Clever!", whilst someone else said: "Interesting!"
"Delicious", a third TikToker gushed.
