Amba Douglas, from Maidstone, Kent transformed the pine-effect units and worktop she "hated" into a much more modern space thanks to just two products from B&Q.
She also kindly shared the incredible before and after in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains group.
How she did it.
With the work top, Amba achieved a sleek marble-effect by using Fablon, at just £6.50 a roll.

On the cupboard doors she used a gloss paint at £18 in 'North Pole'.
Amba also revealed that she had taken tips and inspiration from another member of the group, Stuart Renton.
She wrote: "Moving in to my new place this week and hated the kitchen I see a post on here yesterday that was amazing about revamping the kitchen for around 45 pound so today I took myself to B&Q and revamped my kitchen!
"I'm so in love. Thank you to whoever posted yesterday you have saved me a fortune."

Stuart's own dramatic kitchen makeover made use of the same products to great effect.
His tired-looking cream units and grey work surface in the before shot are unrecognisable after pictures, with aged wood effect work top and chic navy cabinets.
Both Amba and Stuart's hard work has got a lot of attention and praise from other group members.
