High heels can cause crippling pain, but one woman was left cringing after she realised the simple mistake she'd made.
Ayleigh McGhee went on a night out with her friends and complained that her new shoes were really painful all evening.
But it wasn't until the morning after that she realised she'd actually put her shoes on the wrong feet - reports Mirror Online.
And Ayleigh, from Glasgow, decided to tell her friends about the hilarious blunder she had made.
Her friend Georgia Henry found it so funny, she decided to share her friend's mistake with the world and posted it to twitter, where it has since gone viral.
Georgia wrote: "Ayleigh was actual moaning the full night saying she couldn't walk in her shoes.
“And [she] only just realised this morning she was wearing them on the wrong feet. This lassie man."
Alongside the Tweet Georgia posted a picture of Ayleigh before the night out.
Below a black dress and snakes-skin bag she is wearing an uncomfortable looking pair of heels.
On closer look, it becomes clear that her toes are spilling off the sides because the shoes are on the wrong feet.
Referring to the see-through plastic surrounding her handbag, one person tweeted: "Did she forget to take her bag out of her pencil case too?"
One woman wrote: "Here’s a big difference between women and men.
"Women think they need to endure this for fashion, men would never leave the house in something so uncomfortable."
Another added: "Omg dyingggg. Shoes look peng tho, need some of those beauties in my life (but on the right feet obvs lol)."
