Woman makes bizarre discovery lurking in corner of wardrobe inside bedroom

A woman caught a cheeky fox hiding inside her wardrobe in her second-floor flat, but has no idea how it go there.

Klodi Dabkiewics got the shock of her life when she found the fox hiding among her clothes at the bottom of her bedroom wardrobe.

Klodi rang the RSPCA when she discovered the snoozing animal, and doesn't know how it managed to break into her flat, in Dagenham, east London.

The snoozing fox was found on Saturday afternoon, and was quickly caught and released outside by RSPCA inspector Mitchell Smith.

Mitchell said: "It was quite difficult to see him because he’d curled up in the back corner of a wardrobe behind some bags.

It had found somewhere dark and warm to sleep (SWNS)

“I suspect he came into the block to escape the rain as it had been pouring outside and somehow ended up on the second floor and in this flat.

"He found himself a dark, warm and dry corner and curled up for a snooze.

“I managed to get hold of him but as soon as I got him outside he was really desperate to get away so I let him go and he ran off into the undergrowth.”

Klodi, from Poland, said: “Inspector Smith was fantastic and I’m incredibly grateful to the RSPCA for coming to help.

“I’m a vegan and I absolutely love all animals, so I was really pleased that this fox was okay and could be released.”

Last December, an RSPCA officer was called to a family home in Mitcham after a woman found a fox asleep on top of the microwave in their kitchen.
