Woman lured husband's delivery driver ex to her death with fake pizza order

A woman who lured her husband's ex to her death by placing a fake order for a Domino's Pizza has been jailed.

Victim Ashley Biggs was working for the fast food giant when she was ambushed by her former partner Chad Cobb at a disused office building in 2012.

The call had been placed by Cobb's wife Erica Stefanko, who was finally found guilty of aggravated murder and murder.

At the time of her death Biggs, 25, was involved in a bitter child custody battle with Cobb, jurors heard.

Stefanko, now 37, used a fake name to place the order, while Cobb waited in the car park with a Taser and a zip tie, which he used to strangle her.

Army veteran Ms Biggs' body was later found in a field in Wayne County, Ohio, close to her parents' home.

The following year Cobb, then 30, pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murder.

But it took more than seven years for Stefanko, who has since divorced Cobb, to face justice.

She was convicted after her former mother-in-law revealed her role in the killing, and the cover-up.

In a recorded conversation with Cobb's mum Cindee, the Akron Beacon Journal reports, Stefanko said: “Every time I hear a siren, I think, ‘They’re coming for me.’.

“I carried out my part. I did exactly what he told me to do."

Although prosecutors said she was not with her husband when he killed Ms Biggs, she drove him home after they abandoned the victim's car.

Assistant prosecutor Felicia Easter said, The Daily Beast reports: “Evidence and testimony show that she did take part from beginning, middle and end."

Stefanko is now married to one of Cobb's best friends, who is raising the killer's children.

Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh, told 19 News : "Today, more than eight years after she was brutally murdered, justice has come for Ashley Biggs.

"Thank you to the jurors who, under these unusual and extreme circumstances, thoroughly reviewed the evidence and determined Erica Stefanko was responsible for Ashley’s death."
