A woman has been left with 'serious injuries' after she was hit by a car in Wigan this morning (Friday, December 10).
Police were called to Warrington Road in Abram shortly after 7.30am following reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian.
"A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries," a statement from Greater Manchester Police said.

The car involved in the collision 'did not remain at the scene', officers have said, and no arrests have been made.

The stretch of road between the Bucks Head pub and Kingsdown Road in Abram has been closed following reports of the incident.
Residents have been advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes instead.
Transport for Greater Manchester tweeted: “Warrington Road, Abram.
“Road is closed at Kingsdown Road due to a serious RTC.
“Use Lilly Lane as an alternative route.”
