Woman left stranded when movers arrive, then split seconds later — things only got worse the next day

A moving-day nightmare unfolded for Flora (@maincharacter1.0) in a chaotic, two-day ordeal with her moving company. What was supposed to be a seamless experience turned into a frustrating battle with miscommunication, delays, and locked trucks.

The drama began after she spent hours waiting for a scheduled 6 p.m. arrival. A call from the movers at around 5:45 p.m. said they would arrive in 15 minutes. In one of two viral TikTok posts, Flora said the movers briefly appeared outside her apartment but drove off seconds later.

Flora watched from her window as the moving truck pulled into her street, hazards flashing. She rushed downstairs, only to find the movers gone. She said,

I see the rear end. Okay. I’m like, oh, maybe they’re just going around the block. I call them multiple times over, trying to help them figure out, cause maybe they just don’t know where to go. So they don’t answer. I call them six times, okay.”

Flora said her attempts to reach the moving company were just as frustrating, as calls were routed to different states, and she never reached the same contact.

“Mind you, you can’t get a hold of the same person more than once. Sometimes they’ll pick up in Texas, sometimes they’ll pick up in Alabama, sometimes they’ll pick up in St. Louis,” Flora explained.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, March 7th, the situation left Flora without access to her furniture or a bed. She described the stress of having her belongings packed and moved downstairs in preparation, only to be told she would have to move everything back upstairs.

The company initially cited driver unavailability and closure times as reasons she couldn’t move, but Flora demanded priority service the next day.

Then, despite assurances that the movers would arrive on Sunday between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., delays continued. “What time is it? It’s 4:15 right now. They have not called me. Am I going to be moved out today? Are they coming? Are you guys a scam company? Which I think they are.So never ever, ever move with All My Sons Moving Company. They are awful. They are scammers,” Flora alleged.

Meanwhile, Flora’s follow-up update detailed further complications: the movers finally arrived at 5 p.m., only to lock themselves out of the truck containing her belongings.

Flora said in her second post,

None of the keys work to get into the truck. It’s 7:30 p.m. I’m supposed to be in my apartment. I was supposed to sleep there last night, but I didn’t because the movers didn’t show up”

Flora stressed the dangers of such disorganization, noting that her flexibility shouldn’t be taken for granted: “What if I was elderly? What if I had children? This cannot happen. This is unacceptable.” She concluded by emphasizing that she should not be charged for the chaos.
