A woman was left 'shaking' after being 'grabbed into the bushes' during a broad daylight assault in Tollcross Park.

The attack happened today at around 1.45pm when a woman was approached by a man from behind.

The man was walking his dog at the time - and cops are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward in the hopes of identifying him.

The victim shared her frightening experience on her Snapchat story which was then posted on social media.

She wrote: "Two guys just tried to grab me into the bushes in Tollcross park... the thought of them out on the prowl... am... shaking'.

She also urged people in the area to remain vigilant and keep their "eyes peeled" for the attackers.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.45pm on Wednesday, 9 February, officers received a report of a woman assaulted by a man after he approached her from behind in Tollcross Park.

"Officers attended and police enquiries are ongoing to trace the man responsible.
