Woman left red-faced after accidentally sending X-rated snap to family group chat

Depending on who's in them, group chats can either be really annoying (constant notifications) or really entertaining - but you've got to be careful not to mix them up and message the wrong person.

One woman, known only as Riley, has shared the story of how her family's group chat became a lot more interesting after she accidentally shared an X-rated image meant for someone else.

In a video on TikTok, Riley who posts under the username @lemonss28, explained how her aunt had created the group to share updates about her dog that was sadly dying.

The chat mostly consisted of well-wishes and photos of the pooch, until one day Riley sent a rather rude meme about a**.

Riley's message read: "Sometimes you eat the a**. Other days, the a** eats you."

She immediately followed it up by saying: "OMG. WRONG CHAT. Wow, I'm so sorry."

And it's fair to say her relatives were not impressed.

"That one time my aunt made a family group chat to keep everyone updated on her dying dog and I accidentally sent this," she captioned the post.

People quickly asked if she could delete the image, but she explained that they would all have to go through and individually delete it on their own phones.

Riley then had to show them step-by-step how to delete the image, with screenshots meaning the offending image was sent to everyone over and over again.

Meanwhile, her mother simply instructed her to "go back to work".

Unsurprisingly, the TikTok video went viral, being viewed over 400,000 times and garnering more than 30,000 likes.

One person said: "The fact that the screenshots just made it keep showing up was so funny to me."

Another replied: "WHY DO THEY WANNA DELETE IT SO BAD?"

A third commented: "The convo after made it so much funnier lol."

Someone else added: "Tell her to just throw the phone away and get a new one."
