A woman was left too 'scared' to drive after hearing a loud thud while travelling in her car.
Ciara Higham, 24, was driving to a friend's house when a flying object hit her car on Almonds Green in West Derby around 8.25pm on Friday, October 30.
She heard a thud and panicked at the thought of her car window smashing as she drove, but the item narrowly hit the door below.

She told the ECHO : "I was just thinking, 'Oh my god, another thing to pay for. The window is going to smash, it's going to shatter'.
"You know, thinking if something is going, is it going to hit you?"
Ciara added: "I was just in shock, to be honest. I was scared, I was really scared.
"My mum was saying, 'Oh did you get a look at who did it?'. To be honest, I was just so scared that I started driving quicker so I could get away from that area.
"Then I was a bit panicked that, as I drove towards my friend's, there'd be more of them."
Her car escaped with three "deep scratches", leaving Ciara feeling lucky that the night didn't end worse.
Ciara said she felt "nervous" driving around the rest of the weekend in case anything similar happened.
The PhD student is yet to find out how much the damage will cost.
She said: "I think they're just kids who do it, and they don't think that people work for their money, and they think getting the car done in is just something that's funny.
"It can be dangerous, and people work for the money they have to pay for those kind of things."
Ciara decided not to report the incident to the police as she wasn't sure what to say and "just wanted to go to the party and forget about it".
