Woman left gobsmacked by Tinder match's brutal body-shaming pick-up line

In the world of online dating, first impressions count.

Besides a person's bio, all you've got to go on is a strong opening line, which is why there's so much pressure on getting it right.

But one man clearly didn't get the memo as he body-shamed his match.

This is unfortunately what happened to Em Sumners when she matched with a man called Mikey on Tinder.

Sharing a screenshot of their exchange on her TikTok ( @emsumners ), Em left her followers in despair.

In a video that has been viewed more than 3.7 million times, she revealed that Mikey called her "slightly obese."

Starting off the conversation, Mikey, for some reason, thought it was a good idea to say: "Hey baby. Put down that cupcake and sprint to my house."

Confused, by the odd opener, she says: "Cupcake? haha."

He continued: "You look like you hide cupcakes in your bedside table."

Quizzing him further, she added: "The f*** is that supposed to mean lmao."

"It means you're slightly obese," he brutally replied, squashing his chances of every getting a date.

Unsurprisingly, the conversation didn't go any further, with Em saying they were the grossest messages she ever received on the app.

Since being posted, the video has racked up more than 600,000 likes and almost 9,000 comments from people who were stunned at Mikey's 'audacity'.

One person said: "THE WAY MY JAW KEPT DROPPING."

Another wrote: "I can't believe there are people like this. Girl, you're beautiful truly."

"The only thing men have is the audacity," a third replied.

While someone else said: "The nerve," and an angry emoji.
