Woman left feeling 'uneasy' after creepy 'coded message' left in her hotel room

A woman was left feeling unnerved in her hotel room after finding a mysterious message in the form of three separate letters left on her bed.

The guest initially thought it could have been housekeeping who left the letters behind while cleaning her room the previous day, but the letters had not been with her when she slept in the bed the previous night - so she was left stumped.

In a post shared to Mumsnet, the woman, who remained anonymous, explained: " I have arrived back in my room to find these on my bed.

"I am sure that it's nothing and possibly something housekeeping left here by mistake when they last came a day or so ago and they've found their way to my bed. Although I slept in this bed last night and pretty sure they weren't here.

She thought they could be a hidden message (minimalistthoughts/Mumsnet)
She is worried they could be sinister (minimalistthoughts/Mumsnet)

"I cannot help but think it's something more sinister and they have been deliberately placed here."

She went onto say that when she saw the letters she decided to let her friend know what she has just seen but was asking the forum for advice as she was yet to hear back from the pal.

She stated: "Sent my friend a voice note 'joking' that it was a death threat but not entirely a joke! And friend is asleep of course so hasn't yet replied.

"I haven't ever seen anything like this before. Does anyone know what they are or what they could be?"

In response, many have been quick to jump in with guesses as to what these mysterious letters could mean.

One person wrote: "Are they maybe something from the work space which have stuck to your bag which you have then placed on the bed?"

While another said: "Can you contact the reception and ask if it's anything to do with them?"
