Woman left bloodied after vicious fight in Dublin city centre shop in latest violent anti-social incident

A woman was left bloodied and battered after a brawl in front of shocked onlookers in Dublin city centre in the early hours of the morning.

The violent incident, which happened in a shop on Dame Street, saw the two women fight near the entrance of the busy location. The pair viciously throw punches at each other before they are broken up by a security guard.

One of the women, who wears a black coat, is left bloodied on the side of her face and looks on as the woman she is separated from leaves the shop. As the other woman dressed in white leaves the shop she accuses the bloodied woman of attempting to rob from her.

It's just the latest incident in a series of violent anti-social behaviour that has plagued Dublin city centre in recent months. Retailers have shared their experience of being "terrorised" on an almost daily basis with threats, intimidation and assaults.

While one Dublin city community has said that they fear going outside their front door after 5pm due to a growing armed gang issue. Further calls have also been made for a public transport police following a homophobic assault on Dublin Bus.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred at a retail premises on Dame Street, at approximately 3:30am yesterday morning, Tuesday 20th September 2022. No arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing."
